Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer will support new project development, provide sustaining engineering support for production programs, and drive improvements in manufacturing methods and procedures.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations, identifying opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
- Enhance manufacturing methods and processes to improve product quality, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
- Collect and analyze manufacturing data to evaluate production efficiency, identify areas for improvement, and provide data-driven recommendations to management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the production process, collaborating with production teams to implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical training to production staff on new manufacturing processes, equipment, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain documentation for equipment operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Ensure proper execution of equipment tests and validation protocols (IQ, OQ, & PQ), documenting procedures, test results, and analyses.
- Travel up to 50% to work with automation vendors for troubleshooting, equipment functionality assessment, and technical training. Upon equipment arrival, facilitate knowledge transfer and training for automation technicians and internal teams, ensuring proper maintenance and operational best practices.

Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related field) preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant technical experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve machinery and process-related technical issues.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience applying engineering principles to enhance production efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train, mentor, and effectively transfer knowledge to internal teams.
- Ability to travel for vendor support and training as needed. Est 25-50% sporadically.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement and driving projects to completion with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to use Microsoft Excel and Word proficiently
