Call Firefighter

The Stow Fire Department is currently accepting applications for immediate openings for Call Firefighter positions. The purpose of this position is to protect life and property by performing firefighting, emergency aid, hazardous materials, and fire prevention duties for the Stow Fire Department and other related work as required. The Firefighter is responsible for maintaining and improving upon the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under his/her direction and control. This position is compensated as a part-time service with a Fiscal Year 2025 hourly rate of $20.59-$22.18 Required qualifications • Firefighter I/II training • First Responder / CPR Healthcare Provider Certification • Attendance to the MFA Structural Firefighting Practice • Completion of the Stow Fire Call Member Orientation program • Valid Massachusetts driver’s license • High School Diploma or GED • Good Interpersonal skills - Ability to work with others. • Good communication skills • Strong desire to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment • Organization skills • A satisfactory background check Preferred qualifications • Firefighter I/II Certification • Massachusetts Fire Academy Recruit Training • ICS & NIMS certifications Completed applications are required and are accepted on a rolling basis until positions are filled.
