Fitchburg — LUK, Inc. was recently awarded the $10,000 Impact Award from the 100 Women Who Care of Greater Westford. Launched in 2022, 100 Women Who Care is a Giving Circle comprised of women from Greater Westford with a desire to support nonprofits in the local community. The group gives to nonprofits quarterly and is one of more than 650 chapters of the 100+ Who Care Alliance across the globe. Fitchburg — Late on Friday, April 25th, 2025, LUK, Inc. learned that their AmeriCorps program would no longer be funded by the federal government effective immediately. LUK’s program was among nearly 1,000 programs across the country that were affected by this unexpected loss of federal funds. LUK will continue to self-sustain this program through the end of the service term to support the AmeriCorps members, host sites, communities, and the youth involved. Fitchburg — The Central Massachusetts Women’s Hockey League held its annual Have a Heart Hockey Tournament on the weekend of February 14th-16th at the Wallace Civic Center. For the 13th year, the funds raised from the tournament were donated to support LUK, Inc., a nonprofit human services agency dedicated to improving the safety, health, and well-being of youth, families, and adults in Central Massachusetts.
