PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

The primary role of the Asset Management Scheduler is to provide a schedule for execution of all non-production tasks needed within the Devens manufacturing areas. This role plays a key part in schedule adherence to maintain compliance within manufacturing working toward a finite schedule. In the role, you will be accountable for working with Site Engineering in scheduling of maintenance, metrology and validation tasks on a daily basis, as well as other project-based tasks.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES:

  • Work directly with Manufacturing Schedule function and other site teams to improve work execution scheduling including maintenance, metrology, and other project related work.  This role will provide windows for work execution needed for non-production tasks.

  • Act as a lead with Asset Management to schedule maintenance and metrology tasks to enable on time execution of tasks in Maximo.  This may include participating or leading governance meetings, and close collaboration between Manufacturing and Asset Management to ensure equipment is available for work execution.

  • Work with Manufacturing and facility planning groups to maintain schedule adherence for work execution.

  • Adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures and proactively identify unsafe conditions.

  • Interface with external vendors to coordinate site visits in accordance with schedule.

  • Customer Service is paramount, therefore must build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Manufacturing, Quality, EHS, Site Engineering and local community and regulatory agencies to meet site and Business requirements.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  •  Knowledge of science generally attained through studies resulting in a B.S. in science or equivalent, and +2yrs work experience or no B.S. in science or equivalent +4yrs experience.  Work experience in a regulated manufacturing environment desired.

  •  Knowledge of scheduling and planning highly desired

  •  Adaptable to a fast paced, complex and ever-changing business environment

  •  Effective verbal and written communication skills with technical writing skills

  •  The role requires an established history of successful participation on diverse work teams where combined contribution, collaboration and results were expected.

  •  The candidate will have strong computer skills and be proficient in the following programs: Maximo, Word, Excel, Visio, and Project.

  • Works with minimal supervision on the accomplishment of agreed upon goals and objectives. 

 

Working Conditions:

Work within the lab and manufacturing environments, which requires one to give a high attention to detail and on occasion to properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

 

Principal assignment is in a modern office facility, however this role may involve visits to, and inspection of, areas within Operational and Warehouse and other ancillary buildings, some of which may require adherence to various gowning and personal protective equipment (PPE) standards.
