EHS Van Driver

Littleton is seeking part-time van drivers, to provide transportation services to Littleton seniors (60+) and disabled residents in town. The driver will provide “curb to curb” transportation to and from appointed destinations in a 12-passenger van; assists passengers in getting in and out of a vehicle by opening doors and providing limited physical assistance to those who request or need it and utilizing a wheelchair lift/ramp; performs.  In addition, routine work requiring the exercise of considerable caution and safety; frequently communicates with Department of Elder Human Services Staff and CrossTown Connect (Dispatch Services) and bus passenger; performs daily vehicle inspection noticing any problems or damage; maintains cleanliness of the vehicle at all times; assists with data tracking (mileage and logs) and assists with miscellaneous errands and duties. Special requirements include a valid MA motor vehicle operator’s license, CPR, first aid, and wheelchair certification (all training provided).  

 

The successful candidate must pass a pre-employment physical and drug and alcohol test, have a clean driving record, and be patient and courteous at all times. The position is non-benefit eligible. The rate is $19.12-20.71/hour based on experience. Hours are 8-18 per week. Position may be flexible and will consider other’s hours and per diem availability.
