Tap the Sap: Maple Sugaring Workshop for Families

Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in Groton

Nothing says spring is on its way like maple sugaring! Join us for this tasty family workshop on how to make maple syrup from a tree. Our activities will include maple tree identification, hands-on practice to drill and tap, sap tasting, active tree games, and listening to a story about maple sugaring while enjoying a delicious sample. This program is appropriate for ages 4 to 10 years and their families; backpack babies welcome.  Fee: NRWA members- $6/person or $18/family; Non-members $8/person or $24/family. Pre-registration is required. Directions to program location will be provided upon registration.
