Mistress Carrie

In 2006 Mistress Carrie was the first ‘non-news’ journalist to be embedded in Iraq with the U.S. Army. She spent two weeks in the Middle East with several units of the Mass. Army National Guard. Upon return from Iraq, Carrie was awarded the Commanders Award for Public Service, the fourth highest civilian award given by the military.
 
In August of 2008, Carrie was given the opportunity to take an orientation flight in an F-15 fighter jet with the Mass. Air National Guard, where she was awarded an official Air Force callsign, "Narko".
 
In September of 2011, Carrie returned to the Middle East as an embedded reporter. Once again, spending two weeks with the Mass Army National Guard, this time in Afghanistan.
