Upon return from Iraq\, Carrie was awarded the Commanders Award for Public Service\, the fourth highest civilian award given by the military.\n\n \n\nIn August of 2008\, Carrie was given the opportunity to take an orientation flight in an F-15 fighter jet with the Mass. Air National Guard\, where she was awarded an official Air Force callsign\, "Narko".\n\n \n\nIn September of 2011\, Carrie returned to the Middle East as an embedded reporter.
