Join this presentation and conversation to learn how to analyze and communicate your internal culture to your employees and stakeholders in ways that encourage inclusion, belonging and equity. The presenters will discuss ways to:

  • Incorporate a DEI mindset that allows 360-degree thinking and communication
  • Create a dynamic, inclusive culture that is more fluid than flat
 
Attendees will look at the seven cultural elements that you should communicate and recognize internally as well as learn how to cultivate an internal organizational culture that embeds DEI in its foundation. The session will explore the power of conversation, cultivation, connection, and community in a world where communication and culture does really matter. Attendees will come away with an understanding of their seven elements which will help them determine their organization's best approach to creating a relevant, inclusive company culture.

Janine Fondon is a journalist, lyric historian, and educator who shares her expertise with diversity councils and leadership teams with a focus on raising unheard voices and inspiring change through effective communication. She has worked for several media organizations and co‐founded her own company, UnityFirst.com, to share diversity‐related news and forge more inclusive narratives with historic relevance. Fondon is Chair of Undergraduate Communications at Bay Path University and sits on advisory boards for the Springfield Museum and New England Public Media. 
 
 
 
 
Suzanne M. Boniface has over 30 years’ experience in communications, holding titles such as VP of Marketing, Director of Public Relations, and Community Relations Manager, and has consulted with local, regional, national, and international non-profits through her firm SMBPR. Published in many local and national publications, Boniface also served as a volunteer board member on several non-profit boards and has spoken to large audiences on various communication topics.  She is currently an adjunct professor for undergraduate and graduate programs at several local universities.
