Creative Content & Communications Specialist

Applewild School | Fitchburg, MA | Full-Time, On Campus
Applewild School is looking for a creative, resourceful storyteller to join our team. If you can shoot a compelling video on your phone, write a great story, and build a social campaign, we’d love to meet you.

What you’ll do
Find and tell stories about our students, faculty, programs, and traditions
Create photos, short-form videos, Reels, and student and faculty features
Manage the social media calendar across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
Help plan, build, and maintain the school website (content, UX, SEO, accessibility)
Write for social, web, newsletters, ads, and print materials.
Support admissions and advancement with photography, design, and event coverage
Track analytics, stay current on trends (including AI search visibility), and keep improving our content

What we’re looking for
Experience in content creation, social media, communications, photography, or videography
Strong writing and editing skills, plus a good eye for composition and pacing
Experience with Canva, Adobe, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
Website CMS experience and the ability to manage web projects independently
A self-starter who is organized, collaborative, and resourceful on a lean budget

Preferred: 2+ years of experience, a bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience), website redesign experience, and an interest in education.

About Applewild: An independent day and boarding school (early childhood through Grade 9) with campuses in Fitchburg and Devens. After a successful capital campaign, we’re growing, with restored historic spaces and a new 50,000 sq. ft. Athletics and Wellness Center. You’ll help share that story.

Schedule: Full-time, primarily on campus, with occasional evenings and weekends.
