Main Street Bank Expands Team to Support Growth in Worcester and Boston Markets

Jeff Stewart has been appointed as Senior Vice President, Cash Management Services. In his new role, Jeff will provide leadership, expertise, and strategic direction to the bank's cash management support team. He will focus on assisting business partners and their commercial clients with their treasury management needs, offering solutions and expertise. Jeff’s primary responsibilities include onboarding, implementation, and ongoing operational support. Additionally, he will work to introduce new technologies to elevate the bank’s cash management product offerings. Jeff brings over 20 years of banking experience, most recently serving as First Vice President, Treasury Management at Cambridge Trust Company (acquired by Eastern Bank in July 2024.) During his tenure, Jeff oversaw the Corporate Treasury Management department, including Treasury sales, implementation, training, and client support. He led the treasury management integration of three bank mergers, various system upgrades, and contributed to significant growth in the bank's top commercial client portfolio. Jeff has also held similar roles at Wellesley Bank, Needham Bank, and Citizens Bank. “I am eager to bring innovative treasury management solutions to our commercial clients. Gayle Petty joins Main Street Bank as Vice President, Regional Director, Business Relationships, with a primary focus on the Worcester Market. With an office located at 446 Main Street in the heart of Worcester, Gayle will be responsible for developing and supporting new deposits and cash management relationships for businesses, nonprofit organizations, and high-net-worth individuals within the Worcester region. She will also support the bank's community involvement efforts and local nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining Main Street Bank, Gayle was Manager/Core Unit Associate Director at the USDA Human Nutrition Research Center at Tufts University, where she spent over 30 years. In her last role, she had scientific and administrative oversight of the clinical lab and analytical core research facility, including project management, financial operations, business development, and building client relationships through strategic initiatives for business and research domains. “I am excited to join Main Street Bank and look forward to building strong relationships within the Worcester business community,” says Petty. “My passion for connecting with people and understanding their needs aligns perfectly with the bank's commitment to personalized service and community involvement.”
Michael Aroca has been hired as Assistant Vice President, Client Sales and Service Officer. Michael will be tasked with the onboarding and servicing of new commercial and high-net-worth clients for the Relationship Banking team, focusing on the Boston and Greater Boston markets. Michael joins a growing team at the 101 Federal Street office in Boston as the bank continues to expand its client relationship portfolio. His previous experience includes roles at Peoples Federal Savings Bank, Rockland Trust, Wellesley Bank, Cambridge Trust, and Eastern Bank, where he has consistently demonstrated his expertise in client service and relationship banking. “Community banking is where my clients have found the most value, and I am thrilled to be back in this space at Main Street Bank,” says Aroca. “My primary goal is to cultivate strong relationships with our commercial and high-net-worth clients in the Boston area.
