Loaves & Fishes Extends a Helping Hand to Federal Employees in Need

Special Pantry Sessions Begin October 29th in Devens
DEVENS, MA — October 21, 2025 — Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry recognizes the challenges many Federal Employees may be facing during the current Government Shutdown. As our small way of helping, the Pantry is stepping forward to support Federal Employees affected by recent furloughs and layoffs by offering Special Federal Employee Pantry Sessions on Wednesdays, from 1:30 to 4:30 PM beginning October 29th.
Located at 234 Barnum Road in Devens, these sessions are open to any Federal Employee in need—no matter where they live. Those attending simply need to bring their Federal ID.
Federal workers are also welcome to visit during the Pantry’s regular sessions if it is more convenient.
Since opening its doors in 1983, Loaves & Fishes has been a place of hope and nourishment for neighbors across Ayer, Devens, Dunstable, Groton, Harvard, Littleton, and Shirley. For details on session times, or ways to help, visit LoavesFishesPantry.org.
