On the afternoon of Friday, Feb. 20, the Assabet Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Maynard Economic Development Committee invited the community to celebrate Barrels & Vines, a self-pour wine bar, with a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration. Wine lovers and community members were joined by state Rep. Kate Hogan, state Sen. Jamie Eldridge, Maynard Select Board member Mike Stevens, Armand Diarbekirian, chair of the Maynard Economic Development Committee, and Sarah Cressy, executive director of the Assabet Valley Chamber of Commerce and organizer of the ribbon cutting.
Close to 40 people attended the event and had an opportunity to experience this unique self-pour wine bar and the delicious buffet-style food provided by the Family Deli.
Stephanie was inspired by her family’s vacations in Europe, where self-pour wine bars are more common. As a Maynard resident, Stephanie is excited to bring this unique experience to town and make Barrels & Vines a destination for wine lovers from surrounding communities. She is partnering with her brother, Michael Busack, and other family members to create a casual yet refined self-pour wine bar where guests can explore the world of wines at their own pace.
Barrels & Vines Wine Bar is located at 115 Main St. in downtown Maynard, on the first floor of the beautifully renovated Maynard Commons building. Barrels & Vines is open Tuesday through Saturday. Visit

Congratulations to co-owners Stephanie Pittman and Michael Busack. Welcome to the Maynard business community. Cheers!
