Channel Partner Manager — Remote(New England), US

We are seeking an experienced, driven, and highly organized Commercial Retail Energy Channel Partner Manager to lead channel partner growth and business development initiatives. This role is responsible for building, managing, and expanding relationships with channel partners across multiple industries to drive revenue growth, increase market presence, and generate new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in channel sales, partner management, business development, or account management, along with proven success leading people and working across diverse industries. This individual should be highly motivated, strategic, and results-oriented, with a strong ability to identify new opportunities and execute growth strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with channel partners, brokers, consultants, and referral networks.

  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new channel partners to expand market reach and increase revenue opportunities.

  • Create and execute business development plans to drive new sales and long-term partner engagement.

  • Lead, mentor, and support external partners to ensure alignment with company goals.

  • Manage partner performance, track key metrics, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with sales, operations, marketing, and leadership teams to support partner initiatives and client acquisition.

  • Conduct regular meetings, presentations, and training sessions with partners to strengthen relationships and improve performance.

  • Maintain an organized pipeline of prospective partners and business opportunities.

  • Ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and CRM management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in channel partner management, business development, sales, account management, or a related role.

  • Proven experience managing people, teams, or partner relationships across a variety of industries.

  • Demonstrated success generating new business and achieving or exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience within the retail energy industry, specifically electricity, natural gas,  community solar programs and utilities.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools.

  • Ability to travel as needed for partner meetings, industry events, and client visits.

  • Experience developing channel sales programs and partner engagement strategies.
