Part-Time Retail Associate
Retail Associates are the heart of our customer service / sales team. Acting as a
representative of the brand, they interact with and help guide customers in their buying
journey. From the marijuana novice to the cannabis connoisseur, a good Retail Associate
can help every customer find exactly what they are looking for – even if they do not know
themselves.
We are seeking individuals with open availability who are enthusiastic and can use their
extensive cannabis knowledge to guide customers to the appropriate recreational product,
while utilizing customer service that exceeds expectations and complies with all
regulations. Retail Associates must provide customers with prompt service while
maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. They are responsible for assisting
the management team with the activities and operations of the store while abiding by all
policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Budtend / transact with customers while:
 Delivering exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
 Guiding and directing customers’ cannabis purchasing journey using product
knowledge and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
 Ensuring compliance in all transactions from start to finish.
 Meeting and exceeding sales goals.
 Utilizing sales techniques to help increase average cart sales.
 Work with BoomX Management / Specialists on operational tasks.
 Maintain in-depth knowledge of all strains and products in store inventory, as well
as industry wide product and trend knowledge.
 Follow company policies and adhere to all company practices.
 Ensure compliance with applicable local, state/provincial, and federal laws and
regulations.
 Assist in training new employees.
 Perform all other related dispensary duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
 Cannabis retail experience preferred
 High School Diploma or equivalent with two years of retail / marketing experience
preferred
 Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
 Strong oral and written communication skills
 Works well independently and with others
 Minimum 21 years of age
 Must possess valid driver’s license or state ID
 Must pass any and all required background checks and able to be approved for
current state cannabis worker license or permit
Job Type: Part-Time
Schedule Requirements: Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
