Blow Mold Mechanic

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: Skilled position responsible for repairing, maintaining and troubleshooting Blow Mold Equipment.

Principal Responsibilities:  Execution of weekly and monthly PM’s  Product changeovers  Troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing Blow Mold and Blow Mold support equipment  Maintaining PM records utilizing a computerized maintenance management system

Education requirements: Check the minimum level of formal education that is required to perform this job satisfactorily.  High School Diploma or GED  Bachelor’s Degree  Vocational School or some college courses  Master’s Degree  Associate’s Degree, trade or Technical School

Training, Skills, Knowledge and/or Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining blow molding equipment. Strong mechanical skills are needed and the ability to multitask and work independently. Must be available to work early morning, weekend hours and overtime shifts as needed. Experience with Krones Contiform S Blowmolding equipment is a plus.

Supervisory responsibility:  No supervisory responsibility  Provide guidance, leadership, or training to other employees (no direct supervision)  Directly responsible for supervising production/warehouse personnel  Directly responsible for supervising exempt, professional, or technical employees  Directly responsible for supervising supervisory/managerial employees

Physical Effort: This position requires continuous work near heat, noise, gas, chemicals. Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs) is required as well as climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending and kneeling.
