Full job description
RiverCourt Residences is a premier Assisted Living Residence that is located along the scenic Squannacook river in Groton, MA. We are currently looking for a full-time Activities Director to join our amazing team!
Essential functions of this position:
* Assist with the move-in process, helping the new resident adjust to the community *Serve as an information specialist for the residents.
*Arrange and set up specific activities.
* Publish a daily and monthly calendar of activities and functions.
*Coordinate space for activities and functions; generate function sheets for all those involved.
*Coordinate Resident Committees and serve as a liaison for any concerns
Liaison with local churches, community, social organizations
*Serve as resident advocate
* Responsible for a minimum of 3 social media posts per week
*Responsible for submitting calendar to website company by the 15th of each prior month to allow time to create posts on our website and social media platforms.
* Collaborate with the Reflections Life Enrichment Director for combined activities for both communities.
*Participate in weekly Clinical meetings with the RCD, ED and Sales/Marketing team to discuss resident health concerns.
*Provide the "It’s Personal" information to the care staff to ensure they have adequate information about the resident.
Qualifications include:
  • Compassionate, creativity and flexibility is required. Ability to motivate residents to participate in daily fitness programs, ability to create age appropriate stimulating programs for a diverse population. Strong listening skills, ability to deal well with all stages of elderly population, calm demeanor dealing with emergency situations.
