Job Description

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Prepares all menu items using established departmental policies and procedures.
•Assures presentation of all menu items adheres to established standards.
•Assures all menu items are prepared according to federal, state, and local nutritional standards and established policies and procedures.
•Provides services to cafeteria customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
•Prepares food that is the correct portion, serving temperature, and quality. Any substandard quality food must be brought to the attention of the Cafeteria/School Nutrition Director.
•Cleans production equipment/area continually (clean as you go).
•Any other duties as assigned by the Superintendent-Director or his/her designee.

Individual may be exposed to chemicals that are used in cafeteria cleaning and equipment use.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
School year/Full-time position plus required after-school and evening functions

Salary and Fringe Benefits:
Per Montachusett Regional Cafeteria Contract

Job Requirements

  • QUALIFICATIONS:
    Education and Experience:
    •High School diploma
    •ServSafe Certification

    Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    1.Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain and organize records.
    2.Must be able to follow oral and written directions and have the ability to get along well with others.
    3.Must be able to provide direction to other team members regarding food preparation and service.
    4.Ability to accurately complete and submit food service reports according to state and division requirements.
    5.One or more years of school nutrition experience preferred

    REPORTS TO:
    Cafeteria/School Nutrition Director

    JOB GOAL(S):
    Preparation and service of quality food to students, and maintenance of the cafeteria and dining area in a sanitary condition.
  • At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
  • High School/Trade School degree preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
