This is a fantastic morning-to-early-afternoon opportunity that keeps your nights and weekends free!
The Chef is responsible for preparing lunches Monday through Thursday, and breakfast on Fridays, following a menu they have planned one month in advance. Meal sizes vary by day, serving around 20 members on slower days, and up to 60 on Wednesdays. Monthly special events may see up to 120 attendees.
The Chef leads a team of approximately three volunteers daily, helping with meal preparation, service, dishwashing, and cleanup.
The Albert Harris Center is not an assisted living facility or residence. We're more like a community center designed specifically for older adults. We offer a full calendar of weekly activities, monthly events, and a wide array of support services. Our members drive themselves, take our bus, or ride with friends or family because this center enriches their lives. Many attend specifically for our outstanding meals.

Qualified candidates should:

Have experience working in a commercial kitchen

Hold or be willing to immediately obtain ServSafe certification

Be able to plan menus and order supplies
