DPW Business Manager

The Town of Maynard is seeking highly-qualified candidates for the new position of DPW Business Manager. The Business Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, tracking, and directing the business and financial operation of the Department of Public Works System which includes all budgetary functions, system analysis, purchasing, contracted services and personnel records management under the direction of the Director of public works. The position is 40.0 hours per week, and hours of work and days off are consistent with Town Hall hours of business, and in accordance with Section 9.0 (Hours of Work) and Section 11.0 (Holidays) of the AFSCME Local 1703 Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Experience in a financial management capacity, involving finance, operations, purchasing, and human resource management required, in a municipal setting preferred. Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official (MCPPO) Certification preferred, or the ability to obtain. Associate’s degree in business, finance or related field or relevant degree with experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Certified Government Accountant (CPA) preferred
