On Saturday October 20th and 10:30 AM local author Jenifer Burckett-Picker will present an illustrated lecture describing the process of writing a book about her father's (and his best friend Dunk's) experience serving with the American Expeditionary Forces in WWI France. Research for the book included three trips to France to follow in her father's footsteps from 100 years ago. Primary sources include her father's diary and photos as well as letters from Dunk to his girlfriend. Books, "Dad & Dunk in the Great War," will be available for purchase after the presentation.
