Wild Inside: The Forest Floor
A Program for Seniors in Ayer
Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 12:30 p.m.
Ayer Senior Center, 18 Pond Street in Ayer
From “Pixie Cups” to “Velvet Brocade”, lichens and mosses are some of the most fascinating and beautiful yet often overlooked organisms in our forests. Join an NRWA naturalist to explore specimens and the forest floor in miniature using botany magnifiers and microscopes. Learn about the importance of these “pioneer” species and how they help to keep the forest, and us, healthy. This program is funded by a grant from the Doyle General Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts. To sign-up or for questions, please contact the Ayer COA/Senior Center at 978-772-8260. FREE
