Voices and Votes Museums on Main Street Smithsonian Exhibition

This summer, the Ashby Free Public Library is proud to host Smithsonian?s Museum on Main Street exhibit, Voices and Votes: Democracy in America, from July 26 to September 6, 2025. This nationally touring exhibit explores the history and power of civic participation in the United States, from the founding of our democracy to movements that have shaped it over time. Through engaging displays, local history features, community events, and interactive programs for all ages, Voices and Votes invites Ashby residents and visitors to reflect on what it means to take part in our democracy. The library will offer a full calendar of companion programs, including film screenings, guest speakers, children's events, and a local photography and history exhibit?celebrating Ashby?s own democratic spirit and community voice.
