Trick or Treating - Littleton
The Littleton Police Department would like to remind everyone the recommended hours for trick-or-treating are from 6pm-8pm on Tuesday, October 31,2023. Here are some general safety tips to follow:
Halloween Trick & Treat Safety Tips 
1. Costume Caution: Ensure costumes fit well, have reflective elements, and don't obstruct vision. Avoid long capes or oversized masks.
2. Light It Up: Carry flashlights or glow sticks for visibility during the dark evening hours.
3. Stay in Groups: Trick-or-treat with friends or family members, and plan your route in advance.
4. Road Awareness: Use crosswalks, be cautious at intersections, and always look both ways before crossing streets.
5. Candy Check: Examine all treats for tampering before consuming. Discard any unwrapped or suspicious items.
6. Allergy Awareness: Be mindful of food allergies and choose allergy-safe treats if you're giving them out.
7. Pet Precautions: Keep pets indoors to avoid stress from the commotion, and ensure they're microchipped or have proper identification.
8. Respect Boundaries: Only visit well-lit houses, and never enter a stranger's home or car.
