Trail Jogging & the Science of Exercise: Science Saturday for 7 to 11 Year Olds
Saturday, May 3, 2014, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., Williams Barn, 160 Chicopee Row in Groton
This Science Saturday program is meant to get everyone moving as we combine outdoor exploration with exercise! Join NRWA Environmental Education Director Mary Marro for fun and activity at Williams Barn, a town-owned conservation property in Groton. Running on a path is good for your feet and joints, and also gets you to beautiful places. We will slowly jog the trails at Williams Barn, stop to check our pulses and to investigate the ponds and the forest, and then we’ll jog a little more. Wear comfortable sneakers and a hat! This Science Saturday program is open to children ages 7 to 11 from all communities. Cost: $20 for NRWA members; $25 for non-members. For siblings who wish to attend, pay full price for the first child, ½ price for the second. Pre-registration is required. To pre-register, please contact Mary Marro, NRWA Environmental Education Director, at (978) 448-0299, or email MaryM@NashuaRiverWatershed.org. Grab a friend, lace up your shoes, and let’s go!
