Accordingly, we are recommitting ourselves to work together to provide the highest caliber of service and care to this special population. We know you share this commitment with us. Therefore, we'd like to invite you or your designee to attend a special forum on the State of Veterans' Services in the Commonwealth. This program will take place at the State House on November 15th, and will feature presentations and discussions about successful model practices currently taking place across the Commonwealth. Our goal is to help further the dialogue between public, private, and nonprofit partners about how we address modern and complex challenges in caring for military veterans and their families. The program, targeted towards service providers and interested stakeholders, will cover many of today's challenges, including financial issues, access to education, employment, & workforce training, and mental health and suicide prevention efforts. There will be a special panel highlighting programs and practices from across the Commonwealth relative to veterans in the criminal justice system, which brings together court and public safety officials as additional key first responders to the needs of veterans. We hope you or your designee will be able join us on Tuesday, November 15th. For more information or to RSVP, please e-mail veterans@state.ma.us. If you have already RSVPed, thank you for your participation. Please also feel free to share this invitation with others who may be interested in attending. The program will begin promptly at 9:00am.
