Spring Walk & Vernal Pool Exploration (Harvard)

Join us to explore vernal pools with wetland biologist and Harvard Alpaca Farm proprietor, Matthew Varrell. Matt will teach us about -- and show us – some of the special life found in vernal pools. We’ll walk a woodland trail that wends its way past beautiful rock outcroppings, skirts 40+ acres of protected shrub swamp and offers a peek of Bare Hill Pond. The land is home to owls, wood ducks, raccoons, beavers, otters, porcupines, fishers and more – a sanctuary for wildlife.
