| Multi-instrumentalist Seamus Egan (Irish flute, tenor banjo, guitar, mandolin, tin whistle) is one of the most influential artists and composers in traditional Irish music today. A founder of the Irish-American powerhouse band Solas, Egan has inspired multiple generations of musicians. Harpist Maeve Gilchrist has taken the Celtic (lever) harp to new levels of performance and visibility. A member of the prestigious Silkroad Ensemble, Gilchrist's innovative approach to her instrument stretches its harmonic limits and improvisational possibilities. |
