NASHOBA VALLEY CHAMBER PROUDLY ANNOUNCES GRAND OPENING OF NEW DU’S TAILORING & CLEANERS

 
Join the Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce (NVCoC) as we hold a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate the Grand Opening Celebration of the new Du’s Tailoring & Cleaners at 47 Main Street in Ayer.  The ribbon cutting will take place at 1pm on Saturday, March 24, 2012.  The Grand Opening celebration will begin at 12:30pm until 2:30pm. 
 
Hyun K. Du is originally from the New York area, where he worked in outside sales.  He met Sunny Oppel at the Korean store, who worked at Henri’s Hairstylists in Ayer, Massachusetts.  They dated and married in 1996.  Hyun then relocated to Ayer, Massachusetts.
 
In 2006, he became Ayer’s only heart transplant patient.  After 5 years of “healing,” he is now able to work full-time and has chosen his home town of Ayer, for his new business venture.   He has been doing tailoring for approximately 2 years in an out of town business.  He is currently taking classes with a Tailor/Designer in Westborough, Massachusetts.
 
His wife, Sunny and business partner Betty have worked in the Town of Ayer for a total of “70” years, and currently own a Salon called Professional Hair Design on Park Street for a total of 15 years.
 
Hyun and Sunny have 2 children, who attend the Ayer/Shirley Regional High School.  They are active in sports and music and high in academics.
 
Hyun’s new business, Du’s Tailoring and Cleaners, will be organic cleaning and done off-site.  The tailoring will be done on-site.  Shoe repair will also be available.
