Traditional pysanky eggs are decorated using beeswax and dyes that are applied in layers.Each participant will create a unique and beautiful egg in this hands-on workshop. No experience is necessary for this class. All materials will be provided. (Please bring your own apron.)
Instructor Karen Brouillette is a wife and mother of seven children who has enjoyed the art of pysanky for over 10 years. Her other passions include monarch butterflies, iconography, and home education. Instructor Susan Dow is a wife, mother of six children, and a home educator. She is an artist specializing in watercolor, but loves to create with any medium. Susan enjoys nature, reading and time in the garden. She has been decorating pysanky eggs for several years. Karen and Susan have taught pysanky workshops together throughout New England.
