PUBLIC MEETING
UPDATING AYER’S OPEN SPACE AND RECREATION PLAN
Monday, February 9, 2015 at 7 PM
Ayer Town Hall – 1 Main Street, Ayer, MA 01420
The Town of Ayer is updating its Open Space and Recreation Plan (OSRP). The OSRP Update Committee is seeking public input. All are invited to attend the meeting at Town hall on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 7 PM. Consultants from the Conway School of Landscape Design will be facilitating the discussion to receive public input on Ayer’s open space and recreation activities and goals as the Town creates its new open space and recreation 5-year action plan.
Your attendance and input are important! Through thoughtful planning and active stewardship, Ayer’s open spaces, critical habitats, neighborhood parks, and quality recreation facilities will continue and improve to meet the needs of the community and be a resource for generations to come. The OSRP update process and this public meeting provide the opportunity to assess where we are, where we would like to go, and how we might get there. Planning now to protect important open space and recreational facilities can greatly enhance the attractiveness of our Town and encourage thoughtful and compatible growth in the future.
A copy of the most recent OSRP update (2005-2009) is available for viewing in the Board of Selectmen’s Office at Town Hall and on the Town website.
