In this presentation, we will discuss seniors who fall victim to scammers, unethical family members and even to themselves. We will review the characteristics and warning signs of a “vulnerable senior” along with examples of how each a perpetrator harms the senior and the associated negative effects. This presentation also covers how vulnerable seniors can put legal safeguards in place through pre-planning and steps during a crisis. We will also discuss community and other resources that are available.
