 Please join the Playboard of Shirley in a celebration of spring, with an afternoon of planting, crafting, games, farm animals, trail walks, music and more at Longley Acres! “Seeds of Spring” will take place on Saturday, April 27 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Longley Acres, 27 Whitney Road in Shirley (rain date Sunday, April 28). Gaynor Bigelbach, Nashua River Watershed Association educator and naturalist, will be there to lead two family friendly trail walks and nature explorations. Be sure to also stop by the NRWA table to visit with Gaynor to learn more about our native wildlife, specifically otter, beaver, and mink. This free event sponsored by Playboard of Shirley, intended for Shirley residents only, is an opportunity for families to deepen connections not only with their community but with each other through play-based seasonal events.
