This piano concert, presented in collaboration with the Ballets Russes Arts Initiative, features pianist and musicologist Dr. Anastasia Seifetdinova, who will perform and speak briefly about composers who drew criticism and consequences from Soviet authorities by rejecting the established aesthetic ideology and its dogmas. The program includes music by Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Vsevolod Zaderatsky, Rodion Shchedrin, and Sofia Gubaidulina. A wine and cheese reception will follow the performance.
