With the recent completion of restoration work Sandy Pond Schoolhouse is ready for visitors. New features include painstakingly hand restored windows, an accessible washroom with hot and cold running water, an accessible entrance, and more. Come see the newly restored schoolhouse and learn about its role in Ayer history. It’s free and a great family event.

A visitation program for local elementary school students
Modeled after similar programs at other single room schoolhouses, this program will provide elementary school students with a visit to a 19th century school. It is being developed in collaboration with Page-Hilltop instructors and administration.
