Sex & Seniors: A Look at the Physical and Cognitive Changes

Please join us for a complimentary breakfast followed by a CEU presentation that will address the physical and cognitive changes that accompany aging and affect sexual drives and abilities in older adults. Illness, pain, medication and hormones are among the several factors that contribute to changes in sexual activity and self-esteem. Learn about the most common health issues and emotional obstacles seniors face, including capacity and consent, as well as the role of guardians, adult children and/or spouses with regards to the legal and emotional response of others involved in care.

About Our Presenter

Jessica Colangelo, LICSW, is an Associate Director of UMASS Medical School’s Commonwealth Medicine program, and formerly Associate Director of Springwell Elder Services, a locally recognized leader in community service provision to elders and disabled adults.
