NRWA May NOWW Walk
Saturday, May 3, 2014, 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. on the Nashua River Rail Trail in Groton
Nashua River Outdoor Wellness Walks are back! We had a great first walk in April and can’t wait to get back out on the trail in May. The NRWA invites the public to join us for our free monthly NOWW walk on the Nashua River Rail Trail in Groton. Spring migratory birds will be passing through or returning, the trees will be budding out, and wildlife will be out of their winter burrows. Your guide on this 60-minute walk, NRWA’s Environmental Education Director, Mary Marro, will share her knowledge of the eco-systems along the path and point out interesting plants and animals as we walk. Our focus is on exercise and experiencing our natural world, both parts of healthy living. The Rail Trail is flat and paved; the walk is free and open to all ages. For the comfort of all, no dogs are allowed. We'll meet at the Station Avenuekiosk on the Trail in Groton; view a Google map and directions. Pre-registration is encouraged for planning purposes. To pre-register, or for more information, please contact Mary Marro at (978) 448-0299, or email MaryM@NashuaRiverWatershed.org. Join us for a fun spring outing! FREE
