NOWW Walk: First Wellness Walk of the Spring Season
Saturday, April 12, 2014, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. on the Nashua River Rail Trail in Groton
Spring is officially here, and the NRWA believes that by mid-April the Nashua River Rail Trail will be snow free. To celebrate, NRWA will be leading its first Outdoor Wellness Walk of the season on Saturday, April 12 on the Rail Trail beginning in Groton. The public is invited to join us for this 60-minute guided walk led by NRWA’s Environmental Education Director, MaryMarro. Our focus is on exercise and experiencing our natural world, both parts of healthy living. There are a number of eco-systems along the trail, woods and wetlands, and we’ll look for signs of spring along the way. The Rail Trail is flat and paved; the walk is free and open to all ages. For the comfort of all, no dogs are allowed. We'll meet at the Station Avenuekiosk on the Trail in Groton; view a Google map and directions. Pre-registration is encouraged for planning purposes. To pre-register, or for more information, please contact Mary Marro at (978) 448-0299, or email MaryM@NashuaRiverWatershed.org. See you on the trail! FREE
