Parents - January 9th

Though we share family ties, sometimes finding constructive ways to communicate can be challenging. In this workshop, we will discuss what helps and hinders the communication between parents and children. We will learn practices in listening with openness in an effort to assist us in being more present for tough conversations.

Partners - February 13th

Whether your relationship is new or long-term, communication is a key part to ensuring its health. In this workshop, we will focus on mindful listening to help us stay present. We will also explore the connection between emotions and needs, and how we can voice them in a way that is honest and kind.

Colleagues - March 6th

The workplace can be an environment which supports collegiality and teamwork. At times, we are challenged by how to communicate when we run into conflict and disagreement. This workshop uses active listening skills and careful speech tips to help you establish respectful boundaries and open dialogue with co-workers. We will explore exercises to help you contribute to a workplace that is supportive and caring.

Mindful Feedback: Administrators/Supervisors - April 3rd

Evaluation can be the most challenging part of supervising employees. As administrators, we sometimes feel caught between mentoring and evaluating. In this workshop, we will discuss this balance and explore some evaluation techniques that preserve an open and supportive relationship between supervisors and employees. We will learn tips to alleviate much of the stress that is traditionally associated with job reviews and promote a growth mindset in ourselves and our employees.
