MART will run a shuttle from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. from its Intermodal Commuter Rail Train Station at 150 Main St. to the Library for our commuter rail and bus riders, as well as individuals interested in improving the transportation infrastructure of the Montachusett region (rail, transit, highways, transit oriented development, etc). Free parking will be provided at the MART Intermodal Garage for those who will be using their cars.
Commuter rail services, including reverse commute, frequency of service and extension of evening/weekend bus service is important to this region. In addition, our elderly, disabled and veteran’s transportation is very important for our region. MART encourages you to provide your input/suggestions relevant to public transportation and other transportation related improvements in Fitchburg/Leominster/Gardner and the greater Montachusett region.
Your participation will be extremely valuable. If possible, written presentations and comments will be very helpful for this public meeting and/or for submission to Mass DOT. We request our elected and public officials to speak at this meeting on behalf of the current and future needs and requirements of public transit and the overall transportation infrastructure of the region.
Please call MART for any transportation assistance you may need to attend this meeting.
