Maple Sugaring for Families
Saturday, March 2, 2013, 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., NRWA River Resource Center, 592 Main Street (Rt. 119), Groton
Learn how maple syrup is made! Families will have a chance to identify, drill and tap maple trees, get to taste sap coming from the tree, and learn how to boil it down to syrup. Play an active sugaring game, read a book about maples, and enjoy a delicious sample. Open to all ages, most appropriate for ages 4 to 10 and their families; backpack babies welcome. Fee: NRWA members- $6/person or $18/family; Non-members $8/person or $24/family.
