* Living History Encampment (Townsend)

Living History Encampment – May 11, 2013 10-4                                 
Come and join the Townsend Historical Society for a day worth of family fun at the Reed Homestead in Townsend Harbor. Enjoy tours of this historic Federal style building home to the Murals of Rufus Porter. Following the tour, watch a live cooking  demonstration in the old kitchen hearth. Finally, join historian Ryan Hayward with a living history presentation on life in the 18th century including a musket firing demonstration, tent display, children’s drill and activities (such as writing with a quill pen!).
