Leaving a Legacy: Planned Giving to Non-Profit Organizations
Wednesday, May 7, 2014, 7:00 p.m., Groton Public Library Sibley Hall, 99 Main Street (Rt. 119) in Groton
How can you support your favorite non-profit into the future so that it thrives for generations to come?  The answer is legacy giving.  It's not difficult, expensive, or time-consuming; it just takes planning.  The Leaving a Legacy workshop will answer your questions and help get you started.
Presenters will be:

  • Melissa Maranda, Senior Vice President, Rollstone Bank & Trust; former Director of Gift Planning for the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts
  • Chuck VanderLinden, partner Starr and VanderLinden Law Firm, Board member of Groton Conservation Trust
  • David Alexander, Certified Public Accountant & Financial Planner, David B. Alexander, P.C.
  • Steve Lieman, First Parish Church of Groton Deacon; retired systems analyst
RSVP to endowment@uugroton.org if you plan to attend so we can prepare accurately for refreshments and seating; however, do join us at the last minute if you can.  Leaving a Legacy is sponsored by the Endowment Board of the First Parish Church of Groton.  Co-sponsors include Indian Hill Music, Groton Public Library, and the Nashua River Watershed Association.  FREE
