Maestro Bruce Hangen treats us to music that is (mostly) associated with Leap Year! We'll hear the overture to Semiramide by Rossini, who was born on February 29. Hanson's Symphony No. 6 had its premiere on that date. Bach's fabulous Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 celebrates its 300th anniversary. And, Bizet's delightful Carmen Fantasie for Flute and Orchestra is our showpiece for internationally acclaimed guest flutist Marco Granados.
