HARVARD LIONS PRESENT VOLKSFEST 2017 • When: Sept 16, 2-9pm; Rain date Sept 30 • Where: Harvard MA, in the heart of Massachusetts apple country. The festival will take place in front of the Harvard library; 4 Pond Road, Harvard, MA 01451 • The Harvard Volksfest is a Bavarian style funfest for the whole family, features include: o Bed races. Harvard continues its version of a growing local event found throughout the country. We encourage people to not only be spectators but create a team, build a bed and race! Races start at 2pm. The Mark Nomad Band – nationally known blues guitarist from Northampton power trio https://marknomad.com/ Mark will get the party started ? The Macrotones – 10-piece Afro Funk Horn band with cool grooves who do originals and dance covers during their shows http://macrotones.com/ ? Fake News - featuring Dana West – Classic 70’s rock and roll with an all-star cast. o Craft Exhibitors. A range of beautiful handmade goods will be on display o Kid’s area/games. There will be an area dedicated to children activities. Also children are encouraged to bring a stuffed animal for donation and join in the Stuffed Animal Parade, starting at 3pm o Food & Drink. Exciting food offerings featuring specialties guaranteed to please all, starting at 2PM.
