Groundbreaking for Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts

Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts, a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, will be holding a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of four new homes, on Lot 80 and 81, Oakland Street, Fitchburg on December 13th at 11:00 am.
 
 
The project consists of two two-unit duplexes to be completed over the next two years. One of the homes will be fully handicap accessible, and each home will be energy star rated. Families have already been chosen to purchase the first two units which should be completed by June 30, 2014.

Executive Director Maggie Monroe-Cassel says,  We are excited to be starting these new homes in Fitchburg. We are anxious to get volunteers to work on these homes and invite donors to help us get the project started.  This groundbreaking ceremony is a continuation of Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts' growth to serving five families per year.
 
The public is invited to the ceremony featuring elected officials and community leaders. Attendees will be directed to nearby parking.
