Join the Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce (NVCoC) on Friday, September 28, 2012 as we celebrate the Grand Opening of & Creative FloorCentury Carpet s Inc. at their new location21 Main Street in Ayer. Century Carpet is owned by the husband and wife team of Jean & Christine Coutu. They have been in the flooring business for over 30 years. Even before graduating high school Jean was installing, and learning the business. He spent a number of years working for other stores in the area( with the help of his wife Christine). The couple decided that the only way they could be sure the customer was taken care of properly, would be to handle everything personally from sale to installation. With that thought in mind on October 1st, 1986 Century Carpet was born. Since then Jean & Christine have worked hard to build their business, and their reputation.

Century Carpet has made it's home in Ayer Massachusetts for 15 years. The last 13 have been at 43 Main Street in the Page Moore Building (just under the Billiards Cafe). During that time they have built the business, and raised their three children. Their oldest son Brian runs one of the installation teams, their other 2 children Kyle and Kimberly can be seen lending a hand at times. Even their 7yr. old grandson Aiden pitches in occasionally.

The staff at Century Carpet is friendly and knowledgeable. Andrea who has been with the company for over 12 years, can care the customers flooring needs from sale to post installation. Katie is the newest member of the company. She came to Century with plenty of experience from a design showroom in Arizona. All installers, & delivery people have been hand-picked by Jean, to be sure they are fully insured, and have the required experience needed for his customers.
