Grand Opening
Houghton Building
November 10, 2012
Join us on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
to celebrate the Grand Opening of the newly-renovated Houghton Building, located at 697 Main Street.
The Houghton Building, the former Bolton Police Station, was historically shared with Town Offices.
Prior to that, the building served as a school for over a hundred years.
The renovation of the building was funded by Bolton Access TV so they could provide a studio and editing facilities to the community.
The Conservation Trust, The Friends of Bolton Public Library, and Bolton Access TV
all now share this town building and will each host an open house of their new space.
Come meet with representatives to learn more about what they do and how they help enhance Bolton.
Please join us at 10:30 a.m. for the dedication of the new Meeting Room to
Lois J. Alex
to show Bolton’s appreciation and gratitude for all that she did.
Lois worked from 1964 to 1997 as the Bolton Town Clerk and Town Secretary,
and was often referred to as the “4th Selectman”.
The meeting room is used by town committees and groups and is a new venue for
live television coverage.
Refreshments will follow the dedication.
Please do not park on the street if the parking lot is full.
Overflow parking is available at the First Parish Church or the Smith property.
Do not forget – Just a short walk across the street from the Houghton Building to the Sawyer House
you can view the Bolton Historical Society’s unveiling of their WWI posters. (10:00 to 4:00 p.m.)
or 978-634-1358 with questions.
