The Gallery of African Art and the Polus Center’s Coffeelands World Gifts Espresso Café announce a collaborative FREE special event celebrating music, community and culture on Thursday, September 5, 2013 beginning at 4PM.
The event includes multiple presentations and extras including: a rousing performance by Master Drummer Issa Coulibaly’s children’s drumming class and entertainment by Issa, an open-to-anyone drum session with Issa, a group tour of the Gallery of African Art, exotic ethnic foods, African hair-braiding, kids art/craft activities, ethnic masks to try on, a concert 7-9 PM at Coffeelands with Crocodile River Music musicians Ron Murray playing the 7-string guitar and Che Cartafalsa on percussion, and more!
