Fitchburg Art Museum’s Annual Meeting offers Peter Timm’s farewell address and the introduction of incoming director Nick Capasso
Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, December 6, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. It takes place during theMuseum’s First Thursday event that offers free admission from 4:00-8:00 p.m.
FITCHBURG, MA -- This year’s Annual Meeting will be highlighted by a farewell speech from Director Peter Timms, who, for the last 39 years, has led the Fitchburg Art Museum into national prominence. The Annual Meeting, open to all members and the public, will encompass presentations from several museum committees reviewing this year’s accomplishments. This meeting offers members and the public a unique opportunity to learn about the museum’s operations and meet staff and trustees.
The meeting will also feature:
An introduction to new director Nick Capasso, Ph.D., previously the Senior Curator at the DeCordova Sculpture Park + Museum, and an acknowledged expert on public art and sculpture;
Presentations by Fitchburg Art Museum trustees on the Museum’s finances, development activities, programs, and a synopsis of the tour program by Director of Docents Ann Descoteaux;
Soprano Maria Ferrante, an international recognized singer and a winner of numerous awards will give a special singing performance.
